My Big Boy!

9-9-09 was C's 5th birthday! He said it was "awesome"! He got to see his daddy before he left for work in the morning and was asking him already if he could open his presents! ha ha! Doesn't surprise me!
For Kindergarten he got to take in a special treat for the class. He chose Rice Krispy Treats and Dum-Dums. It was extra special because the school rule is "no treats for birthdays". BUT, his teacher said, i understand that, but it's kindergarten, so i say bring something special in for their birthdays if you want to. The catch was, we had to do it "on the down low". So as long as it can fit in the child's backpack, it can be taken in. :o) He also got to take in a special lunch. He loves pizza lunchables so i got him one to take to school that day. Which he thought was pretty cool too.
When i picked him up from school he told me he was a good boy in class so he got a stamp on his hand, and he was good in music class so he got another stamp and a sticker! He was so excited and i was very proud! The other thing he got to do was pick a "treasure" from the class treasure box. It was a spongebob and patrick toy. It didn't do anything but light up when you pushed a button, but again, he thought it was awesome! And that's all that matters!
While C was in school K and i bought balloons and a birthday banner and decorated the house so he got to come home to 25 balloons all over the floor and a banner over the sliding door. He was excited! For an after school treat they got popsicles and C got his favorite dinner that night. Spaghetti, with root beer to drink. Instead of a cake (since we were making one for his party a couple days later) we made his other favorite, oatmeal cookies! We stuck his #5 candle, that grandma bought him, in one and sang to him. Oh ya, pretty much as soon as daddy came home C opened his gifts. A Secret Saturdays Cryptopedia and 2 cryptids. They're basically monster animals. it was what he's been asking for for over a month now! I think we definitly scored some cool points with that one! :o)
